Service Animals/Emotional Support Animals: Service animals and emotional support animals are, of course, allowed and welcome in the campground in general. The question areas are: the store, bathrooms, pool deck (not allowed IN the water), and cabins. According to federal regulations, for a service animal or emotional support animal to use these areas, you will need 1) the animal to be registered as a service or emotional support animal (with registration papers) and 2) an identifying mark on the animal, such as a tag on its collar or an identifying blanket. If service or emotional animals are to stay in a cabins, there will be a $20. extra one time fee for extra cleaning needed after you leave.
**We are continuously working to be completely ADA Compliant (Americans with Disabilities Act). Improvements we have made toward this goal are: 1) ADA Compliant Pool Lift for the swimming pool, and Handicapped pool entrance 2) Handicapped ramp access to the cabins 3) Wide sidewalks all the way around the store for bathroom, laundry, and store access by wheelchairs 4) Oversized handicapped stalls in the bathrooms with handrails (labelled on the outside bathroom door) 5) Oversized handicapped pot-a-potty facility that easily accommodates wheelchairs 6) Obstruction free access to the bathrooms for wheelchairs 7) Ramp access to the cemented pavilion
We are always open to suggestions on how we can improve our service. Please do not hesitate to talk to us about these things. We wish to meet the needs of special needs people, particularly children, to the best of our ability. 🙂
